Turnitin: Plagiarism Checker


⚠️ Before visiting Turnitin...

  • Start by registering for either a student or instructor account.
  • No remote access settings (VPN or proxy) are required to use Turnitin.
  • This resource is only available to current TMU students, staff, and faculty.
  • Ensure the security of your class enrollment key, class ID, and other related passwords.

    How to create a student account on Turnitin?

    1. Complete the Student Account Registration / Course Enrollment Form. The Library will enroll you in the Turnitin course.
      • You must use your TMU email address.
    2. The Library will add your email address to the current semester’s course.
      Processing times:
      • During the semester: Weekdays at 10:30 AM and 4:30 PM
      • During winter and summer vacation: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 10:30 AM and 4:30 PM
    3. Once you receive the Turnitin course welcome email, follow the instructions in the email to set up your password.
      • If you already have a Turnitin account: After receiving the course enrollment notification email from Turnitin, sign in to your account and make sure the new course appears in your course list.
    4. Once your password is set, you can sign in and start using Turnitin.

     

    Please note:
    (1) The Library’s Turnitin course is available from August 1 through July 31 of the following year.

    (2) If you still need to use Turnitin after August 1, please submit the Student Account Registration / Course Enrollment Form again. The Library will enroll your account in the new course for the upcoming academic year.

    How to apply for an instructor account on Turnitin?

    1. Fill out the form of Request Turnitin Instructor Account 
      (Don't forget to log in a valid TMU or affiliate hospital's email first.)
    2. You will receive a form receipt after submit the application. 
    3. Once the library create your account successfully (Monday or Thursday), you will receive a welcome mail from Turnitin.com. 
    4. Follow the instruction within the welcome mail to set your password.
