Guidelines for submitting articles on old and new platforms

    • Old Platform:
Membership is confirmed at the submission stage
      1. Journals on the old platform will be transferred to the new platform gradually, with an undecided schedule.
      2. Use your TMU email within the TMU campus when submitting your articles, select “I believe that I am covered by an institutional membership arrangement and wish to request institutional payment or discount (as applicable)” during the submission stage. This will automatically recognize you as an institutional member and entitle you to an 85% discount on APC.
      3. During the journal's transition to a new platform, your institution's name may not appear in the drop-down menu. If you can't find your institution's name, select "I accept responsibility for paying the £___/ US$___/€___ processing charge on this article".
      4. For guidance on the submission process on the old platform, please refer to the submission process video.

    • New Platform:
Membership is confirmed after the article is accepted

      1. Once your article is accepted, the system will send an email to the corresponding author to confirm their eligibility for the BMC submission offer. The system will verify the author's identity through one of the following three methods:
        • Selected institution: Click on the email link and select “Taipei Medical University” from the list of institutions.
        • Email Domain: Use your TMU email when submitting your articles.
        • IP Domain: Click on the email link within the TMU campus.
      2. For guidance on the submission process on the new platform, please refer to the submission process PowerPoint.
