🔸 General Regulations

🔸 Library Card Application

You can use your TMU student card as a library card to borrow and access materials.

🔸 Reading Seats

When you visit the library, don't forget to register your seat before using your place.

🔸 TMU Library Catalog 

You may search the catalog to comfirm the library purchased what you need or not. The login id and password are the same as your TMU email.

🔸 Borrowing Terms

The basic loan period for books is 30 days. The loan period for media materials (audio cassettes, compact discs, videos, and DVDs) is 7 days. Periodicals and reference materials are not available for check-out.

🔸 Public Computers

We offer over 60 computers in the areas list below:

  • Xinyi Campus
    • Information Retrieval Area
      Located on the 3rd floor of Comprehensive Medical Building (Rear building). We also offer print and scan serveice here.
    • E-Learning Lab
      Located on the 4th floor of Comprehensive Medical Building (Rear building). Computers only. You have to register a seat on-site before using it.
  • Shuangho Campus
    • Information Retrieval Area
      Located on the 7th floor of Teaching & Research Building. We also offer print and scan serveice here.

🔸 Print/Photocopy/Scan

Printer, photocopier machine and scanner are located on the 3rd Floor (Xinyi campus). You can use your Eazy card, Line pay, Apple pay and credit crad (payWave only) to pay for photocopies. Copying or printing in the Library is NTD.1 per page. Scanning is free for our readers.

🔸 Reference Service

Librarians are available to provide research assistance, including the information of the library resources on a specific topic.

🔸 Off-Campus Access 

Students can access databases both in the library and remotely with their login information through remote authentication (TMU-VPN).

🔸 Connect to TMU Wifi 

The Office of Information Technology provids BYOD WIFI Registration Service for TMU current students and faculty. Just need to register your id and your mobile devices (include laptops), than you don't have to login TMU WIFI every time.

⚫ Recommend a Purchase

If a book or other resource you need is not held by the library, we are happy to try to source or purchase this for you. We accept recommendations from University students and staff. (We will consider all suggestions as budgets allow.)

🟡 Access E-resources

Use Databases A-Z to find and access over 130 databases, 25,000 journals and 90,000 ebooks. 

  • Find a specific resource
    You can login with your TMU email account and use A-Z to find and access the e-resources.

  • Quick search
    This is a good tool to search multiple article types in one search. If you would like to get the full text or detail information of the search result, don't forget to connect the TMU-VPN before accessing it.

⚫ Document Delivery Services

🟡 Borrow from Another Library

 E-Learning Booth

There are 2 private and soundproof (not fully soundproof) booths at the Xinyi campus. These booths will be helpful for when someone needs a quiet place for joining online meeting, lecture, webinar. You may book a booth 7 days in advance. Each user may make up to 4 hours per day.

🟡 Discussion Room

Discussion rooms are provided for students to book for group work and discussion. We set up 6 rooms in the library. You may book a room 7 days in advance.
